Gluelam means that the logs are cut into two and the softer outer part of the log is turned to the centre and environmentally glued together, leaving the harder 'Heartwood' on the outside.

This process ensures your log home will last longer and is harder wearing and that both pieces of timber stay square, practically eliminating splitting and twisting, typically associated with the 'cheaper' solid logs.

House-uk 'mobile' transportable homes are not subject to house Building Regulations or VAT, (provided they are going to be used as your main residence) on the main building (only on the movable or 'white goods).

You only need a simple strip hard-standing, so from ordering to installation it is a quick, simple and very economical process.
Although as mentioned above ' Mobile ' homes do not come under the same building regulations as standard houses, but they have to come up to the British Standard BS3632:2005 specifications for residential park homes.

Your home will conform to the legal definition of a mobile home, and will be pre-manufactured and fitted out in our works at Wisbech. They are built to BS:3632:2005 which is the new British Standard for Residential Park Homes. They are offered in 20ft or 22ft wide (delivered as two 10' or 11' wide units) and then bolted together on your site, or 12ft wide single units, these are delivered in one piece.
Your home will also contain high levels of insulation to the floor (150mm), walls (100mm) and roof (150mm + sound boarding), making them suitable for year round occupation. Each building is offered as a bespoke unit and individually crafted to your own personal requirements or we can offer you standard designs.
House-uk ' Mobile log homes are supplied fully fitted out with electrical wiring, plumbing, kitchen and bathroom fittings and heating of your choice.

Once your transportable mobile log cabin has been constructed at our works, it can then be transported anywhere in the UK, subject to access, on a special heavy duty low loader lorry to it's final destination, where we will site it for you and connect it to your mains services.
We will then give you the key so that you can take up residence immediately.
